This article is for investors who were working with ThatRound before 17th August 2026.
What's changed?
Up until now, deals came to you by email: a short note about a startup and a link to their pitch page. You’ll still receive deals sent to your inbox, but there's also now a platform, and everything sits in one place.
What that gives you:
Your deal flow in one view, with every startup scored out of 100 against your own criteria
The reasons behind every score, so you can see why a startup reached you
Your criteria, visible and editable for the first time
Deal stages you set yourself, and messaging with founders in the platform
Why do I need to log in now?
Because there's far more to show you than fits in an email.
Each startup is laid out against your own criteria, in the order of what you've told us matters most to you. If that's the founding team, the team is the first thing you read, rather than something you go looking for on slide eight of a deck.
Do I need an account straight away?
No. You can carry on reading what we send you.
You'll need to be logged in when you want to act: get introduced to a startup, pass on one, or change your criteria. Until then there's nothing you have to do.
How do I set up my account?
You'll get a link by email. Follow it and choose a password.
Sign up with the email address we hold for you, since that's how we connect you to your organisation. If you can't find the email, get in touch at [email protected] and we'll send you a new link.
Do I have to do an interview?
No. New investors go through a guided chat so we can capture what they're looking for. Yours is already on record and we've converted it for you, so there's nothing to redo.
Do I need to redo my investment criteria?
No, everything you've told us carries over.
The first thing you'll see when you log in is your Matching preferences page, with a prompt to look your criteria over. Change anything that's moved on, or leave them exactly as they are. There's more in Your investment criteria.
What happens to the deals I'm already in?
They come across with you, and so does the stage each one had reached.
Where does my deal flow get sent?
To your account email by default, and you can point it somewhere else if you'd rather.
A shared team inbox works well, so everyone who needs to see what's coming in can, even though there's one login.
Does it cost anything?
No, there's no charge for investors.
Where should I start?
Reviewing your deal flow, for what the tabs mean and what you can see about each startup
Matching strictness, for how much leeway we give on your preferences
