Although not every application might receive feedback directly from the investor, we make sure to show you exactly the reasons why you may not have been a fit on certain criteria. So you’re not left in the dark, and can understand where you weren’t a fit for different investors.
What feedback do I always get?
Your fit % with every investor. It shows where your round lined up with their criteria and where it didn't, and it stays there after a pass.
This is usually the most useful part, and it doesn't depend on anyone finding time to write to you. Looking at a few passes together often tells you more than a single comment would, because you start to see which criteria keep coming up.
There's more info in How investor fit works.
Will an investor give me feedback as well?
That part is up to them. Some investors add a reason when they pass, and where they do we'll pass it straight on to you.
It isn't something we can promise, partly because an application can expire without a decision being made at all. We'd like to see more investors give a reason, and it's something we're working on.
How do I see my feedback?
Two ways, and you don't need to go looking for it:
We'll email it to you when it comes in
In the platform, press See feedback on the investor's card
Can I reply to feedback?
Not directly. Feedback comes through as a one-way note rather than a conversation.
If you've already been introduced to that investor you can message them in the platform, but a pass puts an end to the application rather than opening a discussion.
