When you've read a startup and want to take it further, you ask to be introduced. It happens straight away.
How do I get introduced?
Press Get introduced on the startup's page, then choose how you'd like to do it:
Message them on ThatRound. Your email address stays private until you decide to share it
Introduction by email. We send an email putting the two of you in touch
What does the startup see?
Either way, they get an email letting them know you're interested and that you'll both now see each other under Introduced.
If you've chosen to message them on ThatRound, they'll get a notification of your message as well.
What if I change my mind after being introduced?
The introduction itself can't be un-sent, because the startup has already heard from you. But being introduced doesn't commit you to anything.
If it turns out not to be right, you can pass on them from My startups. That ends the conversation and moves them out of your pipeline.
It's still worth reading the fit reasons and the caveats before you ask, since the startup hears from you either way.
Where do introduced startups go?
They move into My startups, where you set the stage as things progress. There's more in Managing your startups.
