For founders: when you join the ThatRound marketplace, you sign a completion fee agreement at checkout. Here's how it works.
What is the completion fee?
It's 3% of what an investor invests, plus VAT, when you raise from an investor you found or met through ThatRound.
You only pay it when an investment from a covered investor completes. If you don't raise from one, there's nothing to pay.
How much is the completion fee?
Always 3% of what that investor invests, plus VAT.
Which investors does the completion fee cover?
Investors you find or meet through ThatRound. That means any investor listed on ThatRound when you sign, or anyone we introduce you to afterwards.
It's only on what those investors invest, not on your whole round.
What doesn't the completion fee cover?
Investors on your carve-out list
Your existing shareholders
Investors you found yourself outside ThatRound, as long as you can show that
Grants, loans and debt
What's a carve-out list?
It's a list of investors you add at checkout, before you sign. You won't pay a completion fee on anything they invest, and they won't appear in your Find investment tab.
Important: your carve-out list is final once you sign. It can't be changed in the platform, so if you need to talk about it, email [email protected].
How long does the completion fee agreement last?
12 months from the day your access starts. The fee applies to investment that completes in that time.
If a covered investor invests again within the same 12 months, that counts too.
Where can I find my signed agreement?
In your account settings. We also email you a link to it when you sign.
