The Startup Card
Each startup card displays key details about a startup that has applied to work with you, including:
Round size
Sector
Stage of the business
Clicking “View Pitch” opens the startup’s full pitch profile.
When a founder applies, their startup card appears in the “New” tab. As you review, approve, or decline applications, the card moves to the relevant tab within the Opportunities page, helping you track ongoing applications seamlessly.
Screening New Opportunities
When a startup applies, you can begin assessing its suitability for your services. During this phase, you can:
Review the pitch page and download pitch documents
Share the startup’s pitch profile with colleagues or investors using the share function - the trackable link records pitch page views and attributes those views to your activity
Contact the startup via the messaging feature or book a call using their scheduling link
Approving a Startup Application
If you decide to proceed with a startup after screening, you can approve them, this:
Notifies the startup of your approval
Allows them to engage with you by signing the necessary contracts and paying any applicable fees
Moves the startup card to the “Ready to Engage” tab
Declining a Startup Application
At any point during screening, you can choose to decline a startup and provide feedback on your decision. If necessary, you can also withdraw approval after initially accepting a startup.
The Startup Pitch Page
The Pitch Page contains all relevant details startups provide to help you and your investor network assess their investment opportunity. This includes:
Business overview
Team details
Progress and achievements
Investment opportunity specifics
Keeping track of these details ensures a smooth decision-making process and effective startup engagement.
