Your round's Benchmark Report and going live

What your round's Benchmark Report is, what's in it and how you go live afterwards.

For founders: your round's Benchmark Report is a final check on where your round stands before you go live in the marketplace. Here's what's in it and what happens next.

What is my round's Benchmark Report?

It's a final check on where your round stands before you go live. It's built from your full interview, and it picks up anything missed or described wrongly that's holding investors back.

It comes with your marketplace access, so there's nothing extra to pay.

How do I get my Benchmark Report?

Once you've finished your interview and checked your pitch page, click Continue to Benchmark Report. We then check your round against every investor on ThatRound and prepare your report. We'll email you when it's ready.

Why can't I edit my pitch page while my report is being prepared?

Your report is built from what's on your pitch page when you click Continue to Benchmark Report, so the page stays locked until your report is ready. Once it is, you can make edits to your pitch page before you go live.

What's in my Benchmark Report?

  • Your Investor Fit, a score out of 100 worked out from your full company profile, and where it sits against other startups on ThatRound

  • Where your round sits against similar rounds on ThatRound, like your valuation, round size, how much is committed and the runway the round buys

  • Your investor results, showing which investors on ThatRound could be a fit for your round

  • What's in the way of more investors being a fit, in four groups

The four groups are:

  • Won't change: rules about what your company is, like its sector, who you sell to or where you're based. These investors sit outside your field

  • You set: round terms you choose before you go live, like round size, stage, valuation and the runway the round buys

  • Changes as your round moves: things that change as your round and company move, like revenue, a lead investor and product stage

  • Details still to give: things your profile doesn't answer yet. They're the quickest fix in the report

How does my round compare with similar rounds?

Your report shows where your round sits against similar rounds on ThatRound, for example B2B software startups raising at seed.

Each bar shows the range for those rounds, with the middle half shaded and the median marked. The dot is your round, and a label tells you whether it's below the range, within it, near the median or above it.

Can I make changes after reading my Benchmark Report?

Yes, you can make changes before you go live. Click Edit pitch page and talk the changes through with the interviewer, across as many chats as you need.

It's the time to fix anything you missed in your interview, or to update your round terms. Keep everything honest and factual, because it's what investors will see.

Note: your report doesn't update after each change. We update it once, when you click Go live.

What happens when I click Go live?

  • If you haven't changed anything: you go live straight away, and you can start applying to investors

  • If you've made changes: we update your report and investor results to reflect them, then you go live. We'll email you when you're live

Does going live make my pitch page public?

No. Going live means you can start applying to investors. Only the investors you apply to can see your pitch page.

Can I change my pitch page once I'm live?

Email [email protected] and tell us what you'd like changed, and we'll come back to you on what's possible. There's more in Editing your pitch page.

Will my Benchmark Report update once I'm live?

No. Your report stays as it was when you went live.
